New from Faber & Faber

This series offers a unique teaching experience for the teacher and student musician. This outstanding popular repertoire has been skillfully arranged and correlated with the concepts in the "Piano Adventures" lesson books.

Beginning Improvisation
A local music teacher is using a series by Hal Leonard to teach improvisation and chord chart reading to beginning students. The series is called "EZ-Play Today". Originally designed for keyboard players, it utilizes single note playing with left hand chord "comping". The books essentially look like fakebooks but written at a very simple level. Right hand melody, left hand chords. The emphasis here is on the development of your students chord reading skills so do not let the melody (or lack of) being played by the right hand discourage your student.
The student will be able to play many familiar songs, quickly, thus keeping their interest level high! This series contains close to 300 books so the variety for the student is virtually endless.
